The seven stages of man are:

First stage: He sees the earth.

Second stage: He wants the earth.

Third stage: He hustles to get it.

Fourth stage: He decides that half will be enough.

Fifth stage: He becomes even less demanding.

Sixth stage: He’d be thrilled to get a six-by-two strip of it.

Seventh stage: He gets the strip!
